WIP Update

This is going to be a short post. I just wanted to share my Gathering Eggs WIP. I got a lot of stitching done this past week. Thank goodness for warm weather and a fenced in yard. LOL

My finished mitten

How can I be so talented in on craft (cross stitching) and so horrible in another?? I finally got around to finishing my Mitten ornament. It looks awful! The picture doesn't really show just how horrid it is. Maybe it can be stuck in the back of the tree where no one can view it? LOL I'd like to stitch this chart for my other niece's and nephews but I gotta find someone else to finish them for me.
Anyways, I got to stitch a little yesterday on Gathering eggs. I just
love stitching this little girl. The details and shading are awesome. And not a lot of back stitching to it. Although there is a lot of stitching with 2 different DMC colors. But it is well worth it.
I went a little crazy yesterday and ordered 5 new charts! 2 of them I bought from eBay. They were so cheap and I just couldn't pass them up. I bought Country Spring by Passione Ricamo. It is a matching set to my Country Winter. I also bought the Noah Ark kit posted below in another post. And I bought a chart to stitch for my Spring exchange partner. I won't tell you what it is in case she reads my blog. (yeah right lol). The other 2 charts I bought are Autumn Blessings by Imaginating and You are my sunshine by Country Cottage Needleworks. Thanks to
Kim I have fallen in love with Country cottage needlework charts. ( I hope that is the way to post a link here)
I better get off here and get some house work done before the brat gets up. He has been sooooo bad lately. Not bad bad..ornery bad. He has learned to throw things..everything..usually at me. So I'm trying to teach him what to throw and what not to throw. Also..If you look at my WIP you can see a light orange marker streak on it. that's what he did when I left my stitching down where he could get to it. Grrrr...thank goodness the stitches cover it up. I'm just glad he didn't get the black permanent marker that was with the orange marker. Could have been a very very sad day. LOL

April goals

I'd like to share my April goals with everyone.
1. Work on gathering eggs/finish it
2. stitch spring exchange gift
3. stitch ornament for niece Ashley
4.work on getting my jammer in order
5. stitch a square for Boos Christmas quilt

I hope to get at least 3 of those things done this coming month. But I'd be lucky to get 2 of them done. If I didn't have to spend my days off playing taxi I'd get a lot more stitching done.

Sister's forever

My sister kept Boo boo all night on Friday night. So I took the free time to work on Sister's forever. And guess what! I finished it tonight. I can't believe it only took me like 2 weeks to stitch. Here it is..finished.

Sister's forever

Stitched for my sister's birthday.

From the magazine Just cross stitch Feb 2003

Chart is available for trade.

I've also stitched up an ornament for my niece. I'm going to try and stitch an ornament a month for my family. As soon as I do the finishing on the ornament I'll post a picture of it. I even added the beads!! I HATE adding beads. It's such a chore and stitching shouldn't be a chore.

In other news..I got my hair cut off. I got about...8 inches cut off. It was down pass my shoulders and now it is way way above it. Keith isn't very happy about it. He has never known me to have short hair. What he doesn't know is I've always had short hair, in til I knew him. I had just let it grow out when I met him. And he always seemed to like it. Well..summer is coming and running after a kid in the heat isn't going to be fun. So I got it cut.

I took boo out side to enjoy the spring weather. We had a great time. We played ball and chased the neighbors cat. He falls down a lot, like all the time. Hits his face on the ground. His head looks awful. People will think i beat him. LOL He's getting so big. Soon he will be 18 months old. Where did my baby go??

I was wondering if anyone has this chart for sale or trade? It comes as a kit but I only want the chart. I'd like to stitch it for Keith's best friend. She is pregnant with twins. And is doing the room in Noah ark.

MIL's quilt!

The quilt

I gave my MIL her quilt this past Tuesday. She LOVED it. She can't belive the kindness of others. That strangers would stitch her a square. I told her that the Stitchers that I know are awesome. Best group of people I have ever known. This week marks her 1 year mark. She had her cancer surgery one year ago on good friday. I told her the quilt is her..glad you are still with us, love you forever, don't scare me like that again gift. LOL I love my MIL dearly. I don't know what we would do with out her in our lifes. Thank you to all the great stitchers that stitched a square for me. My MIL's sister did the sewing of the quilt. I think she did a great job. Much better than I could have ever done. I love the framed blocks she put around each square. And the fabric is such a great pick. Thanks again to everyone that helped make this quilt happen! Now I am going to stitch up some squares for Brandon and have him one made for christmas. I think i'm going to do Cars and trucks. I just gotta find some charts that will work.

I still haven't taken a picture of my WIP of Sisters forever. I'll try to do that some time today.

Thank you Helen!!

I posted a while back on the 123 Message board asking for help on how to make a wall hanging. A lady, a complete stranger, answered my call for help. She turned my "Love you" piece into a wall hanging for me. She didn't ask for ANYTHING in return. No money, no stash, no nothing! She has to be a one of a kind lady. AND she did an awesome job. So thank you Helen.

Happy Easter!!

I spent my Easter at work. We had a lot of family come in to see there loves ones. It was a looong day. LOL When I got home from work we went to my Sisters and colored eggs. She got brandon a great easter basket filled with toys. She got him a see n say toy. Something that I have been wanting to get him. We have Brandon his easter basket from us last night. We didn't have much money to buy him anything huge. I just bought him an already made basket and stuck some other candy in it. Here is a picture of it. And here is a picture of boo coloring easter eggs for the first time.
And here is a picture of boo coloring easter eggs for the first time. After he colored them he wanted to throw the egg. I think he thought they were balls. WE had a great time tho.

I do have a lot of stitching done on my Sister's Forever peice. I have Sist all stitched up. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it yet. I'm off tomorrow and will have time to do more blogging. I have a few other things to share as well. So check back soon!
Here is my WIP of gathering eggs. Doesn't she look so beautiful! I was hoping to get her done by Easter but I don't think i'm going to make it. There are a lot of..bubbles on this piece. I've undone so many stitches. I blame it on the fabric. I have NEVER stitched on such fabric. I wish I knew was it was called so I can ad void it in the future. LOL

Here is my WIP of Sisters Forever. I'm trying to back stitch it as I go along. I usually wait and back stitch at the end. But with all the scattered stitches I think back stitching it as I go will keep me from messing up so much. Here is a pic of what it will look like when finished. I have had it in my stash for a long while. It's from a magazine. I don't recall the name or the year. But if anyone is interested I'll post it.
Last evening Keith and I watched a great Movie called I am Legend. It has Will Smith in it. It is a very slow paced movie. Keith fell asleep twice. But I loved it. I was able to wrap floss onto bobbins and not miss much of the movie. LOL I gotta lot of floss done. (of course boo boo was down for a nap).
I gotta spend most of today cleaning house. It is a total disaster.I'm not sure how it gets so messed up. Wish me luck!

Biggest BAP I've ever seen!

A lady from the 123 stitch message board sent me a picture of her current project. She has been working on this for 2 years. She has 3 more blocks to do. This is so beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen a project so large. At least not over 1/2 done. Helen...keep up the great work and plz let me know when you have the other squares done. Has anyone else ever stitched anything so large? My largest project would have to be these bears. I stitched them in 2003, I was
on a bear kick back then. LOL
I have a Picture of my Gathering eggs but I don't' feel like downloading it from the camera right now. So I'll post again in the morning. Also I've started a new project. I know, I know. I'm usually a one project woman. But I forgot all about my sisters birthday coming up!! So I'm stitching on Sister Forever that I found in a magazine. So I'm stitching Gathering eggs during the day, and in the evenings I'm working on sisters forever. I hate working on 2 projects at once. I feel like I'll get board of one and never pick it up again.
Brandon is finally better. No more fever, couch or rash. Now he's back to his ornery self. He got into my floss box and had it dumped all over the floor. Thank goodness that's all the damage he done. I never would have thought he be able to get the jammer box open. Guess he fooled me. Kids are soooo much smarter than we give them credit for. Right now he is throwing a foam ball around the room and chasing after it. OHH!!! I almost forgot. Today we went to the dollar store to pick up Easter candy. He threw a fit for this stuffed George monkey. I usually don't buy him stuffed animals because I don't see much use for them. But I HAD to buy this for him. He wasn't going to leave the store with out it. Once he got home, all he has done is carry that monkey around. Holding it and kissing it. It's so funny. I've never seen him so taken with a toy before.
In til next time!

Here is a picture of my WIP this week. Today I am going to go back and do the back stitching. There isn't much back stitching on this peice. So I thought if I did it now when i'm done i'm done. Except for adding the beads. A lady from 123 stitch is sending me the beads that I need for this. People from 123 stitch message board are the greatest.

Today I weighed in at 188 pounds! I finally got benith 190. I have been going to the gym atleast 4 days a week. And eating right..eating blah blah blah foods. LOL It suspose to be nice out today so I might take Boo boo for a stroll around town. Most of the snow has melted. We had a horrid snow storm this past week. Here is a few pictures of the street.
We got a lot more than this picture is showing, I just forgot to take pictures of it. Now we are worried about flooding. The river is up so very high already. So once all this snow melts we might be in trouble. ((not me of course, I live up a hill and about a mile from the river))
I gotta run tho, boo boo just fell out of bed

My WIP update

I thought I would post my WIP pic. I didn't get much stitching done because of the pink flower drove me mad! Today I am going to work on the gals head. Try to give her hair and a face. I have promised this chart to a lady from the board. I'm going to put her name here so I don't forget or lose her some how. LOL If anyone knows me, they know how forget full I am.((( Sandi sandraNC)))

I am so into American idol this year. This is the 1st season I have watched the show. And I LOVE it. I'm really into David Archuleta. His singing is so pure and flawless. And he's so young. I can see him making it to the top 3. Maybe even being the Idol.

On a sad note. My beaded Scissor Fob that I bought from a lady has been finally put to rest. I've had this fob for about 3 years. I left it laying on my stitching stand, my son boo got a hold of it. And, I'm sure you can guess the rest. He BROKE IT! I almost cried. But it wasn't his fault. I shouldn't have left it out. I just loved that fob. Probably will never be another one like it. It was just the right length. You will be missed fobby. You will be missed. (I'll post a picture of it later)

I have updated my sale and trade album. I spent most of yesterday adding new stash. So If you get a chance to check it out. I'd like to trade for Aida or floss. Unless you have a chart from my wish list. Or something that you think I'd like. But I really need Aida..or even weave. I'd like to try my hand at even weave. I've never tried it before. Well i see I'm rambling so I guess I'll sign off. I'll post my photo bucket link to the right.

boo boo is sick again!

I've been battling a sickness with my son for the past week. High fevers, cough, up all night unable to sleep. Yesterday he broke out in a rash. At 1st it was just a small rash. Looked like heat rash. So I just let it go. Actually forgot about it. Well when I was getting him ready for bed last night I took of his clothes and the rash was EVERY WHERE. All over his tummy, back, up his neck, and starting on his bottom. Well I freaked out. Called the 1 800 nurse line. She told me it sounded like fifth disease. After getting off the phone with her I did some Internet research and sure enough, It looks like 5th disease. So today I gotta call the doctor and see if he wants me to bring boo in.
I have finally started Gathering Eggs, A picture of it can be seen on the right. Here is a WIP after only 4 days of stitching! So far it has been a really easy stitch. I'm stitching it on a really weird Aida it is called antique beige. A lady living in Mexico City sent it to me. It takes some getting used to. If I pull my stitches to tight it looks awful but if I leave them to lose it looks lumby. I threaten to throw this piece out and start over several times.
I've been going to the gym just about every day. I love it. When I exercise I feel so much better, Energized almost. And I love the machines at this gym. You get an all over work out in a short about of time. It's great.
I had a really rough weekend at work. A lady I work with..we will call her Sally..is very upset with me. She thinks I am picking on her. (I'm a nurse aide working in a nursing home). She says I'm bossy and just plan mean to her. She even threaten to file a formal complaint against me at the police station. Now I know I'm bossy, but I am never MEAN. If I see something that needs to be done and I'm busy I'll let the other lady know. I'm just beside myself about this. I have worked at this nursing home for over 3 years. She has been in his position for 3 weeks! I really like this lady too, she does a great job of taking care of residents, and I never knew she was this upset with me. I wish she would have come to me and said something before it exploded inside of her. OK, enough of this topic or the tears will come again.
Our town is flooding. Most of the creeks are out, and the river should be with in the next 2 hours. And the rain is still falling. I'm hoping that if I have to take boo to the doctors that I can find away around the flooding. If I go out I'll take some pictures and post here.
That's all for today. Ta Ta for now

Family of love....

I have fallen of the wagon. And the wagon is looong gone. I've started smoking again. I had a really stress full week and stole one of my sisters cigs. Well...that's all it took. Now I'm hooked again. I spent 2 weeks sneaking around so my hubby Keith didn't find out and kill me. I told him Saturday night that I was smoking. We spent the night in silence as he wouldn't talk to me. But he's over it now. I like to smoke. I know that sounds awful, but it relieves so much stress and it helps me not eat as much. I haven't lost any weight in the last 2 months. And that brings me to my next subject. I joined a gym!! It's sorta like curves but it's called Boots. Whats really neat is it's open 24/7. They give all the members a key, so we can come and go as we please. And the machines are so awesome. I went yesterday after work for the 1st time and only didn't 20 minutes because I was rushed for time. But today I'm going to go and do the whole work out. I can't wait. I'd like to lose 25 more pounds before summer gets here.

Keith and I went to his moms on Thursday and spent the night. We had a great time. I just love his mother so much. She is the greatest person ever. So unlike my mother. If everyone had a mom like her the world would be a better place. Here is a picture of us. Thats me on the couch trying not to smile. LOL on the floor is Keiths sister Christy, she is holding her son Jadon. My hubby keith, Keith is holding boo boo and then Keiths mom Bea. Aren't we a great looking family.

I received new stash yesterday. I recived The gift. Here is a picture of it. It is going towards the top of my To do pile. My sister on this chart on Ebay and is willing to share it with me. She paid 10$$ for this chart. So of course it has to be stitched. LOL I've never stitched anything by Lanarte. But it looks like an easy stitch. I also received a Shep bush chart yesterday. But I can't seem to find an picture of it. So a name will have to do. It is called Witches moon. It even came with the witch button.

I think thats all I have to share with you today. Boo Boo has 2 black eyes. One he got while at the baby sisters on Thursday and the other one he got at MIL's house. He hasn't mastered the skill of walking yet. He wants to walk with out seeing whats in front of him. Hopefully soon he will quit falling about. I feel like going and getting him a helment to protect him. LOL I can here peopole talking about it now.
I guess Ta Ta for now.

Becca
I am so disappointed in my self. I sat down and ate a whole box of girl scout cookies (the mint ones) last night. Man were they good. Thank goodness Keith is hiding the other 2 boxes for him self. After I ate them I yelled at Keith for letting me eat them. He said..everyone has to have cookies every now and again. Yeah..but NOT A WHOLE BOX! So today I won't allow myself any thing sweet. NOTHING! *plz lord help me, for I feel like going on a cookie search lol*

I thought I would post a WIP picture of what I'm working on now. This is stitching up so quick and easy. If I get to spend about an hour on it today I might get it done. That would be great.
I also got 2 new charts in the mail last week. Halloween charts. They were sent to me by Vickie M. I love Halloween charts, but I have yet to start one. I might do that after my L&L chart. Soon I gotta get started on my niece's stocking. I promised to make all of my sister kids a stocking.
Another thing I got in the mail recently is my silk weavers fabric. I thought I ordered linen but I received Aida. So I don't know what I'm going to do now. Maybe if someone would trade me that would be great. If not I'll just stitch the L&L on the Aida.
Today Keith and I are going to the big city to see his mother. So I hope to go to Joann's and get some floss. (It's on sale 5 for 1$). It's not like I need any more floss but it doesn't hurt to have extras laying about.
Keith's friends that are pregnant with twins are going to do the baby's rooms in Noah ark baby animals. So I'm on the search for anything to stitch for them. I'd like to stitch both baby's an announcements and maybe a couple bibs. I'll have to see what I can find. I don't have ANY Noah arks charts.
I still can't get the spell checker to work here. I've been going to gmail, cutting and pasting everything to check my spelling. Lord what a hassle that is. Anyways, ta ta for now.
Becca

ramblings...

My concerns for my 16 month old son is growing with each passing week. He's almost 17 months old and he still doesn't talk. He says daddy a lot. Sometimes he will say Mam ma and bye bye. But that's it! He will point to things and grunt. But he won't even attempt to say anything. He knows what things are, cause when I say..go get your blanket or Binky he goes and gets them. Or if I say lets eat, go to your chair, get a drink from your sippie he understands. He just doesn't SAY anything. I so want him to talk. Even if it's to say ball..or no..or sleepy. SOMETHING! Someone tell me I'm crazy and that's this is normal. PLZ! This week I'M going to teach him what a ball, truck and a hammer is. (a toy hammer, he has several of them). Today I picked up a small plastic step stool. Maybe he can learn to use it to get up on the couch. That would solve a lot of his frustration

Keith and I watch the best movie last night. It was called 1408.It is based on the short story by Stephen King and starring John Cusack as a horror novelist who tries to stay more than an hour in a hotel room. Man is it a nail bitting..on the edge of your seat movie. (it's a horror movie of course). I recommend it to anyone who is a horror movie fan.
I placed an order with silk weavers yesterday. I cant wait to get my new fabric so I can start my new project. I'm going to do L&L Enchanted alphabet. I've always wanted to stitch this and have been putting it off and putting it off. Well I'm going to take the plunge and do it! Wish me luck. First i gotta get my WIP stitched. I haven't stitched on it for a few nights due to watching movies with Keith. I gotta go tho, Boo needs to be gotten up from his nap. He hasn't been sleeping well at nights so I haven't been giving him long naps during the day.
Til next time

Becca

another finish!

I can't belive I have yet another finish to share this month. This one is called button heart samplers by Homespun elegance. I changed just about everything about the chart to suit what I wanted. I used dyed floss and didn't add any buttons. The picture on the left is the one I stitched. And the picture on the right is what it was suspose to look like. This chart is for trade if anyone would like to have it. Plz email me at rebecca_26_2005@yahoo.com I'm looking for another quick Valentine chart to stitch. But am open to just about anything.
Right now I am working on this really cute 4th of july chart. It's a beehive and will look great next to my other 4th of july finish.

odds and ends

I have fallen in love with 2 new HEAD (heaven and earth designs). I so gotta save up my spending money for a few weeks and get at least one of them. Here is one called Winter spell. I just love her. I wonder if the back ground is stitched or if it's the hand dyed fabric. If it is fabric wonder how much that would cost.
I spent all morning looking at the newNashville cross stitch releases. There are a bunch that I just have to have. But I have enough charts to stitch right now. *trying to talk myself out of buying more stash*
School is closed again today. Think this is like the 7th day of closed school this year. That means they will have to make up 2 days this summer. Or do Saturday school like they did last year. We have probably 3 inches of snow on the ground and as of 7am it's sill coming down. I think I might call the nieces and nephew and see if they want to go sleigh riding today. Boo won't be able to go, he's still sick. I feel like that boy is ALWAYS sick. I went to work yesterday on my day off for 4 hours. And then the Supervisor just called me and asked me if I would come in again today. I told her I couldn't. I gotta let my ankle get some rest. It hurt so bad last night when I tried to fall sleep. Anyways, I gotta run. I want to get some stitching done before Boo gets up.
I hope to post a Finish today! I'm so close to being done.
OHHHH! I almost forgot. Keith's friend Arron called yesterday. He's the one with the pregnant wife. They are going to have TWINS! ***He has twin brothers** I'm going to call her today and see what she thinks of it. And try to find out what she is going to decorate the baby's room in so I can begin stitching things for her/them.

Jammer boxes

Brandon finally went down for a nap. He has been so sick the last 3 days. He's ran really high temps. Highest was last night it reached 104.3. I have him some tynol and a cool bath and it brought it down. I had him to the doctors on Tuesday. Said he had a viral cold and there wasn't anything they could give him for it. Just had to let it run its course. Good thing I took this week off of work. Ive been home to look after him.

Here is a picture of my Jammer box. I hated it. IT looked so messie and sloppie. So I decided to rewind all of my floss onto the plastic DMC bobbins. OMG..IT looks sooo much better. I'll let you be the judge.

Now here is apicture after I put all the floss onto DMC bobbins and used DMC lables. I couldn't belive the difference.
Suspose i should write here of my accendent that I had this week. I went to step over the baby gate and steped over it onto one of boo's toys. My foot went side ways and I heard an alful snap. Thank goodness Keith was there to catch me or I would have fallen flat on my face. My ankle hurt sooo bad that I had my SIL take me to the ER. They said it wasn't broken, just sprained. I have to wear a splint. Those baby gates are going to be the death of me.
Also, Keith and I bought Boo a new bed. We got him a toddlers bed. (Car's theme). He's slept in it for 2 nights now. No problems. He even takes a nap it in better than he did his crib. I hope after he gets better we don't have problems.
Well for some reason I can't get spell checker to work. So this post will probably be full of missed spelled words. Sorry all. ((Like I get a lot of readers here LOL)

snowman finished!

I finally finished back stitching the snowman my sister stitched. He is so cute. I'm thinking of putting him in a frame but I'm leaning towards a cute wall hanging. I got some really awesome fabric left over from christmas. Here is a picture of him

Well I have more to write about but Brandon isn't going to let me sit here any longer. He has been so sick the past few days. He spiked a 104.2 temp last night. I'll write more laters. I want to show you my jammer box and my WIP. Ta Ta for now.

I have new finishes!

I finished 2 things this past week. Here is a picture of my ornament finish. He is called Chilly's gift. He is from the 2007 designer freebie packet. From Stitchy kitty. I tried to finish him as a cubeish tybe of ornament. I think it turned out ok. Not perfect..but nothing ever is in life. I'm not real sure why the designer picked such pinkish colors for a christmas ornament. If I ever stitch him again I think i'll change a LOT of the colors to suit christmas better.

And "drum roll plz" here is my other finish! It is called Love you by 4 my boys. I do belive it is suspose to be a kit but a very nice lady sent me just the chart. (I just love the ladies from 123 stitch MB). Anyways, this only took me 2 days to stitch up. The hardest thing was the heart, keeping on track so I didn't mess up and have to frog was a pain. I'm not sure how i'm going to finish this. Was thinking of turning it into a wall hanging. Have to see how talented I become today. LOL

my project now is to finish the back stitching on one of my sisters many projects. She stitched a snowman and WOULDN'T finish him! So I stole him from her and told her she wasn't getting him back. LOL So now I've got to add the back stitching. He's very cute, says let it snow on it. After I finish him i'm going to start a sampler. I have never done a sampler type chart before so this will be my 1st. I promised myself i'd try new things this year. Samplers being one of them.

Keith and I spent this past weekend at his friends Arrons house. We had a great time. Only thing i can complain about is it was so COLD! They are trying not to use much heat due to the cost of fuel but lord did my toes freeze. LOL I dont' think we will be staying there again intil spring..maybe even summer. We played the game clue..guess who won both games! ME! Both games..it was so fun.

I gotta get off here and get boo up. We are going to Toy R US today to get him a toddler bed. I think he is getting too old for his crib. Although i'm not sure of the age one stops sleeping in a crib.

Stocking is finished!!

Boy do I have a lot to write about today. The first thing I want to say is I screwed up yesterday. I was at my sisters house and she had her cigarettes laying out. I stole one. Smoked it. I LOVED every minute of it. It was like I found a long lost friend. God did it taste good, smell good. After I smoked it I got so dizzy and light headed. I thought I was going to faint. It was a nice smoke but not something I want to pick up again. I told Keith and he about had a fit. I told him everyone falls off the wagon every now and again. I just got to pick myself up and get back on.

And now for some good new...drum roll plz....I have finished Logan's stocking! Here is a picture of it. The only thing I don't like is the name. The G looks like an 8 and it drives me CRAZY! Everyone says it looks fine so I'm going to leave it. I'm going to try and do the finishing of the stocking myself. My good friend Cheryl has given me great instructions and pictures on how it is done. So wish me luck!
Some more great news. I received new STASH! Check out his awesome fabric that Karen sent to me. I'm going to stitch something halloweenie on it. I love the dyed fabric.
My sister and I are going shopping today. Not sure what I'll be buying but I do know that we will be going to the hobby lobby. So I hope to find some good sales. If I buy anything good I'll be sure to post. Ta ta for now!

WIP...only back stitching left!

Here is a picture of Logan's stocking. It's really moving along. For some reason I'm Hateing the back stitching. And usually I love to back stitch. The back stitching means I'm soon going to be starting something else. I have my next project already picked out. It's going to be a valentine gift for my hubby. Shouldn't take me long to stitch it.

Here is a finish for my sister. I just love it. I think i'm going to put it on my to do list. And I just love the frame and mat she picked. It's awesome. She has several other project started. I'm glad she finally finished one. LOL
Not much else has been going on. Lady at work gave me a drum set for Brandon. Can't wait to try that out. Can anyone say head ache? He is getting his last 4 teeth in and is being a pain in the butt. Crying and fussie. Lord help me. Can't wait intil it's over. Anyways, i'm going to get off here and stitch while boo is napping.

4th of july in January

Check out this really cool frame I found for my Lizzie Kate finish. I think it looks awesome! I have an extra frame (it came 2 in a package) if anyone wants it. All I ask for it is shipping. It's sorta heavy, but get this..no glass! It's just a piece of heavy plastic. It's so freak in cool. I think my piece looks great it in. I do believe Cat. from the RR group I WAS in finished it. Now if only I could find a frame for my other LK finishes.
Not a whole lot going on around here. It's still really really cold. Like only 11 degrees cold. yesterday we got about 2 inches of snow. But it turned to rain and melted most of it.
I went to the doctors yesterday. Gotta go tomorrow and get my cholesterol level checked. With all the weight I've lost it should be a good number.
I gotta run tho...boo is throwing a fit wanting something. If only he could tell me..when could end these silly games. LOL I can't wait in til he can talk and tell me things. Instead of screaming and throwing a fit. Today he woke up with a snotty nose and a bad cough. Must be this cold weather.

Green Thumb???

I'm trying my hand at plants again. I once used to have LOTS and LOTS of plants. But I couldn't keep my cats out of them. Now that I have gotten rid of one cat and my other cat has gotten older I thought I would try again. To start with I have a spider plant. Spider plants are EASY to grow. Anyone can grow a spider plant. Here is a picture of it.

The other plants I have I don't know the names of. ( the friend that gave me the starts didn't

know the names either). But here are pictures of them

Wish me luck! I hope I don't kill them. Working full time and taking care of the baby and now caring for plants might be too much. But I love the look of live plants in someones home. I hope the vine plants take off and cover the stand I have them on. Anyways, I gotta get off here and help Keith move furniture around. We are tired of the way our living room is now. So we are going to rearrange it. Ta Ta for now!

Brrrrrr.....it's cold

Man is it cold out side. I think it's like 14 degrees out. It snowed a lot today. Nothing stuck to the ground tho. Suppose to have snow and ice this weekend. Hope it doesn't prevent me from getting to work. Brrrrrr....

I took Boo to the doctors today. He has a yeast infection. So it's no wonder I couldn't get rid of his diaper rash. Some days I would be in tears, feeling like a horrid mother, when in fact there wasn't anything I could have done to get rid of the rash. Thank goodness I broke down yesterday and called the doctor. Poor boo boo. I couldn't get his medication tonight because the Pharmacy didn't have it in, but it should be in by tomorrow when I get off work.

Here is a picture of my WIP. Man I'm almost done with this stocking. I can't wait to finish it so I can start something new. For those of you reading my blog and don't know it..I'm a one project woman. LOL I can't start something new until I finish what I'm working on. I KNOW if I start something new I'll NEVER finish what i have started. So it's a rule I've made myself stick too. So Guess what?!?! No UFOs in my closet.
As you can see, I've changed my background to hearts. I'm ready for valentines day! I want to say a HUGE thank you to Kim B. for helping me figure out how to change the back ground. Soon as I have time I'm going to put back my side bars. But right now I'm off to stitch. Boo has gone to my sisters for the night, Keith isn't home from work yet...so it's just me and my stitching!!!
Hugs all!

checking in....

Not much has been going on around here. I've been doing really great on my diet! I'm under 195 pounds! I can't believe I've finally made it under 195. My next goal is 185. I've learned that it is best to set small goals and take baby steps instead of rushing into it. In order to keep the weight off I gotta take it slow and make it apart of my life..not just a diet. ((Boy am I getting smart! lol).

Keith got a call from his good friend Arron yesterday. He's going to be a daddy! I wonder how Candice feels about that. Her and Arron will make great parents. No set due date yet. I can't wait to start stitching stuff for the baby!

I'm posting a picture of the ornament that Kathy made for me. I just LOVE it. I wish I could finish ornaments like this.

I'm still working on Logan's stocking. Got a good deal of it stitched up.

And here is a picture of an ornament that I stitched up. It only took me a few hours to do. It's a freebie from the designer packet that I got when I donated money to the diabetic charity.

wasting time....

I take boo to the doctors today. It's just for a check up so It shouldn't take long. I've already walked 35 minutes on the tread mill this morning. Man I feel GREAT! Hoping to get another 30 minutes in today. I did really good eating yesterday, only thing I had that I shouldn't of had was Mamma Bea's cheese ball. But who can really resist it? I'm going to make Keith eat the rest of it today. Because ...you hear that...it's calling me...it's calling my name!!!

Keith and I spent new years day with his good friend Arron and Candice. We had an awesome time. We played Clue most of the day. I actually won a game! Everyone won except Arron. Poor Arron..He would have won if I kept my big mouth shut. *sorry Arron* lol Keith and i are going to buy Monopoly for the next time we have game day. I think we are going back next month. Going to make it an all night night. That will be fun.

Cheryl A. finally received my package. She says she loved everything. I'm so glad. I always worry about what to send her. She is such dear Friend. I hope she wastes lots of time stitching all those Christmas ornaments. lol
I better run tho, gotta get boo and keith woke up so we can start getting ready.
*HUGS to all*

WIP...really moving along

I didn't get a picture of my WIP posted last week. So Here it is..I've gotten a lot of it stitched this week. Getting up early to stitch is really helping me out. But it's making me tired through out the day. I just want to get this stocking done!!So I can start my Country Fall peice. Maybe even do a halloween peice before I start another stocking.

Happy new year!

Today is the 1st of the year. I've got a few goals for this year. Hopefully I can stick with them.
1.. lose 30 more pounds.
2. keep on not smoking. (It's been 4 months!)
and 3....to un clutter my house.

In 2007 I lost a total of 31 pounds. If I can do that again this year I'd be sooo happy. As of yesterday I'm back up too 201. Damn those peanut butter buckeyes! I probably ate a dozen of them over the weekend. For some reason i don't have much will power this time. I'm going to stick to a plan. I'm going to get my meals wrote out couple days before hand. AND I'M going to stick with it. I'm going to use my treadmill 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. It's the only way. Walk ..walk ..walk. I can't wait in til spring gets here. Then I can get boo out side and I'm sure the weight will fall off.

I've also got some stitching goals for this year. I'd like to get at least 3 stockings stitched for my nieces and nephews. I'm almost finished with one stocking so it's a good start. Also I'm going to try and not buy ANY new stash intil I get atleast 10 things stitched up. (LMAO!!!)) I think I can do it. I can do it...I can do it..I can ..If I keep saying it maybe it will stick with me longer.
