Back from the framers!

I sent my Gathering eggs off to be framed. I finally got it back! And I LOVE it. I had to put all my trust into the framers because I sent it to them in the mail. I think they did a wonderful job. I love the way the matt blends into my Aida. Anyways, here is a picture of it. Please tell me what you honestly think of it. The frame is a metal frame, and I'm not crazy about it but I think it's looks great with the matt and finished piece. As for my WIP, Poof Hat. I should have NEVER stitched this on black. I've had to change things because it doesn't show on the black Aida. I feel as if it is being over taken by the black. I've gotten so much of it done that I can't quit now. If you know of anyone going to stitch this on black plzzzz tell them to rethink it. LOL I think my next project is going to be another Halloween piece. I went crazy at Christmas time and bought like a million Halloween charts. Or I might stitch my Country Summer. I never know what I'm going to start next. It has to call to me.

I gotta work afternoon shift today. I don't know if I can stay wake til midnight. LOL I'm usually in bed by 8pm. Keith lost his job last week so I'm trying to pick up some extra hours. We have money saved in the bank but it won't last long. I hate giving up my days off. I'd rather pull doubles then work my day off. What is nice about Keith being home is he is trying to break Brandon from his Binky. I don't have it in me to do it. If he cries for it I give in and give it too him. LOL Now if I can just get Keith to do some of the house work. Think that will ever happen???

I better get off here and get Brandon. He's up and wanting to eat. That's all he wants to do here lately. Must be going through a growth spur.

TaDa,,my 1st April finish

Here is my Gathering egg's finish. I don't understand why the bottom of the design is left undone. I think it would look so much better if it was stitched green, like she is in a field. But I still like the end result.

Here is a close up, so you can see the bead detail. This didn't take me nearly as long as i thought it would to stitch. Also this is one finished goal for April! YAY

This is the Jewelry box that Keith bought for me. Do you think it would be tacky to have it displayed in my living room? I'm thinking maybe on top of the TV entertainment center? I hate to have it stored in our bed room. No one goes in there! I told Keith that now he has to buy me some Jewelry to put in the box.LOL We have been together for almost 7 years and he has bought me a ring and a necklace. That's it!

And now..the sad news. Or at least I think it's sad. Keith and I spent the day Saturday with his cousin Jenny. She is going to be leaving some time this month to go to Iraq. She as been in the Military for years and this will be her 1st time going over. Plz everyone say a prayer for her. Plz let her come back to us quickly and safely. Love you Jenny! Her boyfriend pictured with her is also going. I wish them the best.

And to answer Tammy's question. If I had the choice to start anything new, I would have wanted to start Country Spring. But I've got to wait in til I get my Spring exchange gift stitched and I want to stitch a square for Boo.

a quick hello

I called off work today. I was up half the night sick with a headache. I don't know how I do it but when I stitch with a headache it seems to go away. In til I put the stitching down. My husband doesn't understand it, wish I could explain it to him. LOL I guess it's because I put my total concentration into my stitching and block out the world, headache and all.

Anyways, I have gathering eggs almost done! Just got back stitching left. I'd show you a picture but Keith has it at his mothers house. He took Brandon with him, spent the night. So I have had the whole house to myself. It's been so great.

Keith bought me a gift for no reason this week! He bought me a jewelry box. It is so big! I've never had anything so beautiful before. I'll take pictures of it when I get my camera back from Keith.

I squeezed my fat butt in to a size 12 today! I used to wear a size 22. I can't believe it. The size 12's are tight but I can get them fasten. I hope to lose that 30 pounds still. I've only been losing inches and not weight. So today I'm going to up my 30 minute work out to 45 minutes and cut back 250 calories. See if that helps me any.

I gotta go tho, dryer just quit and I want to get the beads attached to Gathering eggs before Keith and Brandon get home.

WIP..Gathering Eggs

Here is an update on my Gathering Eggs. Isn't it just awesome! Too bad you can't see it in person. Some of the stitches in it look awful. I don't know what type of fabric this is but I'll NEVER stitch on it again. It pulls the stitches out of shape. I have to stitch it really slow to get them to lay right. And some times i have to pull stitches out and redo them because they just don't' look right. I hope to have this done soon. I have so many things calling to me. LOL Maybe I should just throw my "one project at a time" rule out the window and start something new??

WIP Update

This is going to be a short post. I just wanted to share my Gathering Eggs WIP. I got a lot of stitching done this past week. Thank goodness for warm weather and a fenced in yard. LOL

Here is my WIP of gathering eggs. Doesn't she look so beautiful! I was hoping to get her done by Easter but I don't think i'm going to make it. There are a lot of..bubbles on this piece. I've undone so many stitches. I blame it on the fabric. I have NEVER stitched on such fabric. I wish I knew was it was called so I can ad void it in the future. LOL

Here is my WIP of Sisters Forever. I'm trying to back stitch it as I go along. I usually wait and back stitch at the end. But with all the scattered stitches I think back stitching it as I go will keep me from messing up so much. Here is a pic of what it will look like when finished. I have had it in my stash for a long while. It's from a magazine. I don't recall the name or the year. But if anyone is interested I'll post it.

Last evening Keith and I watched a great Movie called I am Legend. It has Will Smith in it. It is a very slow paced movie. Keith fell asleep twice. But I loved it. I was able to wrap floss onto bobbins and not miss much of the movie. LOL I gotta lot of floss done. (of course boo boo was down for a nap).

I gotta spend most of today cleaning house. It is a total disaster.I'm not sure how it gets so messed up. Wish me luck!

My WIP update

I thought I would post my WIP pic. I didn't get much stitching done because of the pink flower drove me mad! Today I am going to work on the gals head. Try to give her hair and a face. I have promised this chart to a lady from the board. I'm going to put her name here so I don't forget or lose her some how. I am so into American idol this year. This is the 1st season I have watched the show. And I LOVE it. I'm really into David Archuleta. His singing is so pure and flawless. And he's so young. I can see him making it to the top 3. Maybe even being the Idol.

On a sad note. My beaded Scissor Fob that I bought from a lady has been finally put to rest. I've had this fob for about 3 years. I left it laying on my stitching stand, my son boo got a hold of it. And, I'm sure you can guess the rest. He BROKE IT! I almost cried. But it wasn't his fault. I shouldn't have left it out. I just loved that fob. Probably will never be another one like it. It was just the right length. You will be missed fobby. You will be missed. (I'll post a picture of it later)

I have updated my sale and trade album. I spent most of yesterday adding new stash. So If you get a chance to check it out. I'd like to trade for Aida or floss. Unless you have a chart from my wish list. Or something that you think I'd like. But I really need Aida..or even weave. I'd like to try my hand at even weave. I've never tried it before. Well i see I'm rambling so I guess I'll sign off. I'll post my photo bucket link to the right.
