Back from the framers!

I sent my Gathering eggs off to be framed. I finally got it back! And I LOVE it. I had to put all my trust into the framers because I sent it to them in the mail. I think they did a wonderful job. I love the way the matt blends into my Aida. Anyways, here is a picture of it. Please tell me what you honestly think of it. The frame is a metal frame, and I'm not crazy about it but I think it's looks great with the matt and finished piece. As for my WIP, Poof Hat. I should have NEVER stitched this on black. I've had to change things because it doesn't show on the black Aida. I feel as if it is being over taken by the black. I've gotten so much of it done that I can't quit now. If you know of anyone going to stitch this on black plzzzz tell them to rethink it. LOL I think my next project is going to be another Halloween piece. I went crazy at Christmas time and bought like a million Halloween charts. Or I might stitch my Country Summer. I never know what I'm going to start next. It has to call to me.

I gotta work afternoon shift today. I don't know if I can stay wake til midnight. LOL I'm usually in bed by 8pm. Keith lost his job last week so I'm trying to pick up some extra hours. We have money saved in the bank but it won't last long. I hate giving up my days off. I'd rather pull doubles then work my day off. What is nice about Keith being home is he is trying to break Brandon from his Binky. I don't have it in me to do it. If he cries for it I give in and give it too him. LOL Now if I can just get Keith to do some of the house work. Think that will ever happen???

I better get off here and get Brandon. He's up and wanting to eat. That's all he wants to do here lately. Must be going through a growth spur.

thunderstorms!!!

Holy Cow! We have been with out power for 9 hours. We had the worst storm I have ever seen this morning. I was woke up at 3:30 am by lighting and thunder. I decided I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up, made coffee, started a load of laundry. Sat down at the computer to check message and ...the whole world went crazy out side. Sounded like a train was ripping through our town. I ran into Brandon's room, grabbed him out of bed, (he's bed is next to a huge window), we sat in our living room and listened to the sound of everything. I heard glass breaking, things going boom, I could hear all the stuff on the porch being thrown about. The one thing that sticks out in my mind is looking out the window and not being able to see anything. The rain was coming down so fast and so hard, mixed in with the hail, It was like looking into a black box. The only time you could see anything was when the lighting struck. The power was out at this point and Brandon had no clue as to what was going on. He was scared, was shaking, he would not let me out of his sight. Kept crying for me. When the wind and rain finally stopped I open the front door to look out. You wouldn't believe the sight before me. Tree's down every where, The lady that lives across the street had a HUGE tree on her car. Smashed it, pieces of the car was thrown all over the place. IT was wild. I ran next door to make sure the lady that lived there was OK, she has a very small baby. All in all everyone was OK. Every one has damage of some sort. All the stuff that was on my front porch was blown off into my car. My car has dents and scratches from it all but it's still drivable thank god. Our roof is another story. It has singles missing from it, 2 huge holes that Keith is out trying to repair now. I'm going to post some pictures of the mess.

I just thank god we all are ok and nothing happened to us.

On Saturday we went to our nephews birthday party. It was at a park, it was like 90 degrees outside, so freakin hot. I was miserable. Couldn't enjoy myself because of the heat. I am not one to do well in the heat. But the party was nice. She has it all done in base ball theme. At the end of the party we let the little ones play in the creek. I got ate up my mosquitoes, but the kids enjoyed it.

As for stitching, I haven't been doing much. A few stitches here and there. I am hating the black fabric, I don't know why I even chose to stitch on it. LOL I always picture the poof hat done on a really dark purple. But I'll keep at it, just because I like it so well. It really pops off the fabric, I just wish it wasn't so hard to see. I'll post a WIP pic of it soon.
HUGS all. Thanks to everyone that leaves me a comment. I just love reading what everyone has to say.

here i am!!

Man I am falling behind on this blog. I have come to be addicted to another site. Called Myyearbook.com. It's sorta like my space but not as popular. I love it. So I'm spending all my free time at that site, posting things, reading stuff and I'm not getting much done here.

I have been stitching on a chart called Poof. Stitching it on black 14 ct Aida. Stitching on black is hard! Especially at night, my lamp which I have always loved, isn't all that great. LOL Here is a pic of what I have done. I love stitching the purples and greens.

Also my ornament exchange partner has received her package. So I can finally post a picture of what I sent her. I stitched her an mitten and added some other stuff to the package. Here is what I sent her. I haven't received my package yet. Hopefully soon.

Not much else has been going on around here. I'm on a 10 day vacation from work. I really needed a vacation. We aren't going to do anything special. It's nice to wake up and not have to get ready for work tho. I think this weekend we are going to travel to his sisters. She lives over 2 hours away for a birthday party. Keith's nephew is turning 2 years old. Seems like he just turned a year old! The nephew and Brandon are only a couple months apart. So I guess I better be thinking about what to get him for his birthday, start thinking about a party and all that good stuff.

The kitten is going this week to be De-clawed. I can't take the scratches any more. The other morning he was trying to climb up my leg using his claws! Man did it hurt. Brandon has a new friend. A lady friend. He just follows this little girl around. I never seen him act the way he does when she is around. Here is a picture of the 2 of them. Aren't they cute. She is a month older than him. I guess i better get off here and see what Brandon is doing. He's in his room and being rather quiet. That's not a good sign. LOL

PS..I ment to post this and forgot. To Carla,I can not access your blog. Every time I try to view it it says I have been blocked, or something like that. Do you have to invite me, unblock me? I'm not sure whats going on. LOL

It's hump day!

I haven't stitched a single thing since I finished Country Fall. I've kitted up several projects but put the floss away when I found I didn't have any Aida/linen to stitch the project on. I really need to buy some Aida/linen to keep on hand. I have more than enough charts to stitch, just nothing to stitch them on. LOL Anyone else have this problem?

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. I sure did. Even tho I spent the days at work, I spent the afternoon and evenings with my family. We had cook outs and set off fire works on Friday. Saturday we had a cook out and went to the next town to watch the fire works. We all had a great time. Brandon burnt his finger on a sparkler. I kept telling everyone he was to young for them but everyone insisted on letting him do it. Poor boy. I'll post some pictures at the end of this post of our weekend.

I'm having problems with a lady at work. It is really stress in me out. I've went to my boss and talked to her about it. She said she would look into it. I've had problems with this lady before. She likes to tell lies and this time she has gone to far. I gotta work with her on Friday and I don't know how that's going to go. She talks about me behind my back and is oh so friendly to my face. I HATE people like that. Grrrrrr

I have a large bag full of Anchor floss for sale. If anyone is interested plz email me. Here is a picture of it, I haven't sorted it out so I don't know what colors I have.

Ta Da! Country Fall is finished

It's finished! YAY! You see in between the border lines. All those little stitches. I had to stitch one, tie it off, stitch another one, tie it off, stitch, tie, stitch tie....Took me FOREVER! I couldn't carry my thread because it would have shown through the fabric. I can't wait to get this framed and hung on the wall with country Winter. Next (sometime) I will stitch Country Spring. I still have to buy Country Summer. It's on the top of my wish list. If anyone would like to buy(12$) or trade (for even weave) plz email me. On a 1st come 1st serve. LOL This is a 20$ chart and OOP as far as I know. I sent out my ornament exchange package today. I took pictures of it, will post as soon as I know my partner has received it. I hope she likes all the goodies I sent to her. As well as her ornament.

My mother and her Boyfriend came over yesterday. She didn't stay long, about 45 minutes. I thought it was nice of her to come visit in til I found out she only came to have her computer looked at. My husband Keith fixes and works on computers. So that sorta took the excitement out of it . But it was still nice to see her. She wanted to have a cook out tomorrow, but I gotta work in til 3pm. By the time I got home, picked up Brandon and Keith, got to her place it would be well after 5pm. We'd only have like an hour to visit then back on the road for home. I gotta work Saturday and Sunday..and Monday. I work them every week. I do have Tuesday, Wed.,and Thursday off every week tho. I 've been working weekends for almost 4 years. I don't mind it.

We are having rain again today. Grrrr..Are we going to have any type of summer? We are going to have to drain the pool cause of all the rain. No one has gone out to check the pool, to clean it or add any chemicals. I went out today and the water is GREEN! Yuck. LOL

The kitten named sassy is a hand full. I have so many scratches and bites from her. She plays rough. I went as far as calling the Vet. to see about getting her declawed. I'm not sure if I am going to do it but sure am thinking about it. Anyone know how to break a kitten from scratching and biting? She is only playing but she has got to learn that it's pain full. LOL Here is a picture of Sassy and Keith. Shhh don't tell him I'm posting pictures of him, epically dressed the way he is. LOL

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

The end is near....

On my WIP that is. I got all the back stitching done on Country fall. Now I am working on the edge. I've made a mistake somewhere on the top and I can't figure out where it is. I'm going to have to sit down and count everything and figure out where I screwed up. Grrrr... Here is a picture of it. With the mistake. The mistake is on the right side. The little heart is one stitch short of where it is suppose to be. I suppose the mistake is in the word fall but I sure can't spot it. Doesn't it look awesome tho! I'm so proud of this piece. My next stitching project is going to be Christmas ornaments. I'm really falling behind in stitching them this year. I usually have at least a dozen stitched by now and I only one 1! I give them out as gifts and stick them on presents as name tags.

My niece won third place in the contest. She received a huge trophy! She was excited. I don't think she felt bad for not winning 1st because of the trophy. LOL Here is a picture of her with her mother (my sister) and one of her by her self. I think she is going to be a very beautiful lady some day.
Lets see..what else..Well I have become addicted to a computer game. Sims 2. LOL I can't get enough of it. I can only play it when Brandon is asleep cause he wants to sit on my lap, which would be OK if he would leave the key board alone. Anyone ever played a Sims game before? I found a cheat online to give me more money and boy is it fun when you have LOTS of money. LOL
Well my diet isn't going very well. I'm board with it all. Eating right, exercising..blah blah blah. I'm up to 192. Maybe more than that because I haven't weighted myself in about a week. I've got to get back on the wagon cause I gave all my fat clothes away. LOL I won't have anything to wear.
I am so behind on mailing out my exchanges and packages for trades. I've got to get them mailed out today. My ornament exchange is due out today and I haven't even gotten it all the way stitched yet. I've got to stop joining exchanges. I just don't have the time to stitch them...no I just can't seem to stop one project to stitch another. What is wrong with me? I know people that have 12 or more WIP going on and I can't commit myself to 2 of them. LOL
I gotta get off here and get the house cleaned. I was on strike last week, didn't do much cleaning at all..hoping that my lazy husband would pitch in and help. HAHAHAHAHHAH Now I just have extra to do this week. Guess I won't do that again. Keith and I haven't been getting along for the last few days. He really hurt my feelings. My neighbor (which is also my brother and SIL) were having a pool/birthday party for SIL. I asked Keith like 4 times if he wanted to go over and at least visit if not swim. He said no..he was to tired. Well I finally gave up about 8pm and decided to go to bed. I was upstairs doing a word search when I heard him putting the baby to bed, 20 minutes later I heard the front door open and close. Wouldn't you know it ..he went over there all most as soon as I went up to bed! See..he thought I was asleep. I confronted him when he came to bed at 3am reeking of beer. He didn't' have a lot to say to me. I don't understand why he would go next door with out me but REFUSED to go with me. Needless to say there is a lot of negative vibes in this house. He made me feel like he was embarrassed to go with me, or something like that. I don't' know, I just know it pissed me off. (sorry for the language) Sorry for the rant.

jazzy cat story

OK so here is the story. Yesterday on my way to work, I found a black and white cat, dead on the road near our house. It was hit by a car and looked pretty bad. I thought it was jazzy. Took off work early so I could bury it before it got to hot. I was out side in the garage getting this cat ready to be buried. Had him in a trash bag, was putting tape on the bag when I felt something rub against my leg. I looked down and THERE WAS MY CAT! So I picked her up, brought her in the house, checked her over. And then it hit me...whose cat do I have in the garage?? Well I went ahead and berried the cat, just thought it was the thing to do. But how odd is it that I was getting ready to bury a cat that I thought was Jazzy when she decided to come home. Here is a picture of her and the new kitty. They are NOt getting a long very well.

we also changed the kittens name from lily to Sassy. It is a sassy little thing. So very play full.

My niece is running for princess of the festival. WE find out if she is the winner tonight at 7pm. Here she is riding in a float at today's parade. I hope she wins, she is soooo very shy and this will do her some good,.

Here is my WIP pic. I have a little more of it done, just haven't taken a picture of it yet. I think I'm going to do the back stitching before I work on the border. I might have this done this month! That would be awesome. I'm off here to do a little more stitching before bed. I'm beat tonight, working all day, and then going to the festival wore me out.
I bought Hip Hop Abs off of eBay last week. I got it in the mail today. So tomorrow I'm going to start a new exercise routine. (Hip hop abs is a very popular exercise DVD, everyone here is into it., teaches you to exercise and a few new dance moves.) I finally broke down and sold my treadmill. I never used it and it was taken up so much space. I'd rather walk a few miles outside then inside on that machine. Keith had a fit but he's over it.

Jazzy is home!

Just a quick post to tell everyone after a week of being gone, Jazzy returned home yesterday! You are not going to belive the story I have to tell about it. Would tell you now but I've got to get to work. I'll post tonight, I promise!

Becca

WIP, Lost kitty,

Man what a busy weekend I've had. Cookouts, yard sales, and working. Seems like I haven't had a day off in a while. I've haven't been stitching much. Been spending time outside with boo and my sister. Been enjoying the pool. I've got a lot of things to share in this blog, hope I don't forget anything.
First of course is my WIP. I've been slowly stitching on Country Fall. Stitching the green is sooooo boring and the stitches are scattered about. Have to keep changing colors. I think today I will take a break from the green and work on back stitching or the boarder.

I finally received my spring exchange gift. Here is a picture of what she stitched for me. My partner was Monica P. I wish I knew her board name. This piece will hang in my front hall. I wish to hang many more welcome signs there.

Now for the sad news. Our cat Jazzy has ran off and we can't find her. She has been in our family for 6 years, got her when she was a kitten. She has always been an inside cat. Some how she must have gotten out. I've looked all over the neighborhood for her with no luck. She won't survive out there by her self. She is probably scared to death. I'm going to go out and look for her again soon as it is light out. I just don't understand how she could have gotten out. Unless she jumped out the window when we were putting in air conditioners. Neither Keith or I saw her jump out tho. We brought a new kitten home last week. Maybe she was pissed off because of it and decide to run. The new kitten is awesome. So very play full. Brandon just loves him. I have named the kitten lily. As soon as I can get a good picture I'll post it.

I finally talked Keith into getting cell phones! YAY! We used to have a net 10 phone. Hardly got service anywhere. Yesterday we got nextel phones. For both of us to have one it's 100$ a month. Unlimited text. I love to text. LOL I gotta sit down today and figure out how to use it.

Hmmm....what else did I want to write about.....Oh I remember. As of Monday June 9Th my parents are officially divorced. What a sad day that was. 32 years down the drain. Funny thing is my mother has called me everyday since just to talk. Used to be I wouldn't hear from her for months and months. Not sure what that is all about. But I've ran out of things to talk to her about. LOL OK that's not funny, but really, she is like a stranger to me now, and I don't' want to start a relationship with her again just to be thrown aside in a week. Does that make sense?

I'll end this post with a picture of Brandon. Check him out. He looks sooo mad being up in this tree. After I took the picture he started to cry so we took him down. That's my brother Dave with him, He is also our neighbor. I wished he would shave that dang hair off his face. LOL I can't stand it. Here is a picture of me in the pool. Plz don't' laugh. LOL Enjoy your week.

Ramblings

I don't have any pictures to share with you today. I haven't been stitching much. My son, Brandon, has been sick. It started Sunday night, high fever, 103.3. I started giving him Motrin and Tylenol ever 6 hours. He ran the fever all day Monday, wouldn't eat, but was drinking. Tuesday morning he's up at 5 am, crying, fussing, being awful. And he wouldn't drink anything. Every time he took a drink he would grab his throat. So off to the ER we went. Would have taken him to quick care but it wasn't open that early. We sat and waited for about 2 hours, of course by the time the nurse took his temp his fever was down. The doctor didn't see anything wrong with him, no fever, no breathing trouble, nothing wrong with his throat. He says to just give him Tylenol when needed. Grrrrrrrr!! Today he is back to normal. He was up playing in his room when I finally rolled out of bed. He ate breakfast (oatmeal) drank his milk and has been in a really good mood. Thank goodness. I was about to go crazy.

I sent my Gathering Eggs to be framed. I sent it to Sandra AKA Handie (from the 123 MB) in Canada. I sent it to her because she always post such nice framed pictures. I called this morning and paid her the 1st installment payment. She is allowing me to pay payments. I think that is sooo freak in awesome. I can't wait to get it back. Next week I should have the rest of the money to pay her in full. YAY!

I spent the morning cleaning my son's room. Boy was it a disaster. I've never seen such a mess. Guess that's what happens when I don't stay on top of it every day. LOL Toys were EVERYWHERE! Only took about an hour to clean up.

I am buying a tote bag from Heather from the 123 MB. I can't wait to get it. She sent me a picture of it and it looks awesome. She is selling them for a donation for the Michael recovery fund. I sent 20$ and feel guilty that I didn't' (couldn't) send more.

Also wanted to post that I have a BUNCH of anchor floss for sale/trade. I'm going to sort it out today some time.

Keith and I haven't seen much of each other this week. He's been busy helping a friend with his summer cabin. Staying away in til like 6 or 7 every night. Coming home and falling asleep on the couch. It's sorta frustrating. I'm stuck in the house all day with the kid and he's out doing god knows what. I'd like a few hours to myself in the evenings. Maybe once this cabin is finished life can get back to normal around here. I miss my stitching time. LOL

It's going to be hot and humid here today. Probably going to stay inside and keep cool. Maybe get some stitching done.

I forgot to add that i'm back on my diet as of today. I'm going to lose this last 15 pounds even if it kills me! Today I weighed in at 188. I'll keep you posted

It's summer time!

boy this heat is killing me. It's 11am here and already in the 90's. And humid. I can't stand the heat. Gives me a migraine. Night before last we decide to put up the kiddy pool. Brandon was loving it. Which is a surprise to me being that he HATES the water. He jumped in, with is dinner in his hand, and sat in it. It wasn't long and he was splashing and having a good ole time. His cousins joined him, they all had a great time. It took 6 hours to fill up this little pool. It's about 3 feet deep, 12 around. Nice for the kids, nice for me to just get in and cool off, or float on a raft for a tan. Here are some pictures of the kids.

Hopefully today we can go out and enjoy the water. Yesterday the water was still too cold and Brandon wouldn't stay in it. Fingers are crossed.

Here is a picture of my Country fall. I finished stitching her dress and now am working on what I think are her boots. I really don't like the coloring, hoping it turns out OK. The picture on the chart is very poor and you can't really make anything out. Today I've got to stitch on my ornament exchange. Haven't really decided what to stitch yet.

Today my mom and dad go to court for there divorce. It's sad, they were married for 32 years. I guess I just don't understand how she can throw all that away. She never sees her kids or grand kids. Heck boo doesn't even know her, she is basically a stranger to her. One day she will regret the things she has done to this family.

I've got to get off here and get to the post office. I have 5 packages to mail out. Stash packages. I'm trading some of my charts for 28 count linen. I can't wait to receive it. Oh I almost forgot. I bought a HUGE bag of anchor floss at a yard sale. I couldn't pass it up. Wonder if I could fine someone to trade/sale it too. I know I'll never use it. Anyways, ta ta for now.

And the winner is!

Sorry it's take me so long in posting the winner of the tatty teddy chart. No excuse other than I've been lazy this week. LOL Been spending a lot of time watching Life Time movies. What a great way to spend the days off, especially with all the rain that is falling out side. Anyways, I stuck everyones name in a hat and pulled out Chiloe! So pls email me with your address so I can get this in the mail to you soon.
I finished "You are my sunshine" over the weekend. It looks awesome. I do need to fix one of the boys eyes tho, they look really weird. LOL So today I will fix them and try to get it into a frame. This chart called for the use of CC floss. And Of course I don't have any of that. So I used DMC. I think it looks alright. Also the little boy that is pulling the wagon is suppose to be a girl. But a nice lady changed her for me. I can not for the life of me remember her name. I think it was Velda,I've deleted all my emails so I have no way of checking. Maybe she will see this and post. Anyways, this piece is a gift for my son. Going to hang it on his bed room wall.

Since finishing You are my sunshine. I have picked up Country Fall again. I've made great progress. After stitching on the linen going back to Aida is sooo nice. LOL It's like being gone from home all day and when you return it's so nice and relaxing. No thinking involved. LOL Anyways here is a picture of my progress. I really like stitching with the orange colors. I hope to buy Country summer next. I just wish these charts weren't so expensive. 20$ per chart! Anyways, I'm stitching this on 14 count Aida, on fabric called dirty tan.
I received a new HEAD chart this week. It is called American Angel. You should really go check it out. It is so very awesome. I'd like to start stitching it soon. Might pull the floss for it today. Make sure I have all the floss needed for it. It's like a 30 page chart. Would probably take me FOREVER to stitch it. I need some 25 count linen or evenweave. So if anyone has some White they would be willing to sell me I'd be forever great full.

Guess I must run. Brandon is wanting breakfast and I gotta get Keith to work. I hate his new job. At least with his old job someone picked him up every morning and brought him home. Now I gotta do it, drag boo out of bed, I hate it.

P.S. I love you

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you need to run out right now and rent it. It is sooo good. It's funny, sad and very watchable. I couldn't even get up to go pee with out pausing it. I don't know how I found time today to sit and watch the WHOLE movie but I did. And boy was I glad I left that sink of dishes to do it. And while I watch the movie I got a lot of stitching done. Here is an update on You are my sunshine. I'm so loving this fabric. I don't know what the brown spot on the picture is, it isn't on my stitched piece so it must be something on the camera.

Not much else is going on right now. I've totally blew my diet this past weekend. With all the good food and cook outs going on, who could resist? My husbands friends Aronn and Candice came down. They spent the whole day with us on Monday. We just layed around, watching TV and eating. She is about 5 months along, and is getting a belly. I have pictures of her showing her belly but I forgot to ask her if I could post it. So I won't, not with out asking first.

I want to write more but I don't' have anything to write about. LOL How sad is that, I actually have time to blog and have nothing to blog about.
